Ryan Roberts Clothing
The Ryan Roberts clothing line operated from 2001 to 2016 as a Los Angeles–based fashion label known for elevated knitwear, luxury outerwear, and modern wardrobe staples designed and manufactured in Downtown LA. Today, Ryan continues his work in fashion through custom design projects and styling for select clients.
Ryan Roberts Clothing Label
From 2001 to 2016, Ryan Roberts designed and produced his namesake clothing line under Ryan Roberts Design Inc., a Los Angeles–based label known for elevated knitwear, tailored outerwear, and modern wardrobe staples. Every collection was designed, patterned, and manufactured in Downtown Los Angeles, with an emphasis on luxury fabrics, refined construction, and wearable sophistication.
During its 15-year run, the Ryan Roberts clothing line was carried by leading independent retailers throughout North America, including Fred Segal (Los Angeles), Takashimaya (New York), Clarks Register (Rhode Island), Stanley Korshak (Dallas), Wilkes Bashford and MAC (San Francisco), Nicolas (Toronto), and Valerie Simon (Montreal). Ryan handled every part of the design and production process, from pattern development and fittings to sourcing fabrics and overseeing manufacturing. The line became known for a blend of technical precision and understated style, rooted in Ryan’s training in tailoring, pattern making, and luxury garment construction.
Designer Ryan Roberts
In 2016, Ryan closed the Ryan Roberts clothing line to co-found a new womenswear brand, Engle Roberts, where he served as Creative Director from 2017 to 2023. That label focused on expertly tailored pieces for modern women, fabricated from high-end Japanese, Italian, and domestic textiles. Like his earlier line, it was designed and manufactured in Los Angeles.
Today, Ryan no longer produces full seasonal collections, but continues to apply his decades of design experience through personal styling, wardrobe consulting, and custom design work for select clients. His background in fashion design remains central to his approach: understanding proportion, construction, and fabrication in a way that helps clients build wardrobes that fit beautifully and feel effortless.
